About DOAJ
DOAJ is a comprehensive index of various open access journals from all over the world. The initiative is run and administered by the DOAJ Foundation, which is a Danish, non-profit, community-governed foundation.
Its mission is to increase the visibility, accessibility, reputation, usage, and impact of quality-assured, peer-reviewed, open scholarly journals globally, regardless of discipline, geography, or language.
DOAJ is committed to being 100% independent and to keeping all primary services and all metadata openly available to everyone.
Over 80% of the funding comes from academic organisations (libraries, library consortia, universities, and research centres) worldwide. Sikt’s licence agreement coordinates this support for Norway, and the contributors are also listed on DOAJ’s website.
For researchers: Each institution's library manages the agreements. Contact your library if you have questions.
For research administrators: More information (prices, licenses, etc.) can be found in ConsortiaManager (Edvarda) or by contacting Sikt.
