2. Publish through the agreement
SciPost's principles:
- SciPost journals have diamond open access: No subscription fees or publication fees (APC) for authors.
- Authors of SciPost journals retain copyright. The articles are published under an explicit open access license.
- SciPost is strictly non-profit. The portal is registered as a foundation in the Netherlands and follows relevant rules and conditions.
- SciPost's infrastructure is developed using open source software. The entire technology stack and all operating protocols are documented and easily transferable.
- SciPost is transparent about revenues and expenses. The information can be found at https://scipost.org/finances/.
- SciPost journals use an open peer review process, with referee comments, author responses, and subsequent manuscript versions posted on the website.
- SciPost encourages authors to post their work on preprint servers.
- SciPost journals are managed by researchers at research institutions. Decisions on which contributions are accepted for publication are made by votes from the editorial board members.
