Survey: Tools and infrastructures for handling research data

Unit, in collaboration with research institutions and the Norwegian Research Council, has started a study with the aim of giving researchers better tools for making research data as open as possible and as closed as necessary.

Norwegian version

This survey will map researchers' experiences with existing tools and infrastructures used to handle research data and the same time survey their   wishes for improvements. The answers will be used to further develop the current services and possibly establish new ones in dialogue with the institutions and suppliers. The survey will also be the basis for input into the government's work on a new long-term plan for higher education and research. The purpose is to provide tools and assistance to researchers, so that they can fulfil the FAIR principles (findable, accessible, interactive and reusable) in an appropriate and least labour-intensive way.

The answers will be analysed and processed during the autumn, and a recommendation for further measures will be made before Christmas.

The survey is estimated to take approx. 15 minutes to complete.
