About PKP
Public Knowledge Project (PKP) develops and maintains critical open infrastructure for the future of open access. Their software, Open Journal Systems (OJS), is the backbone of over 55,000 journals worldwide, corresponding to more than 8 million published articles. OJS has been estimated to enable the publication of 60% of all open access journals.
As a free and open-source software (FOSS) community, PKP depends on support from contributors to strengthen and expand ongoing maintenance and development. The level of support is based on FTE.
For researchers: Each institution's library manages the agreements. Contact your library if you have questions.
For research administrators: More information (prices, licenses, etc.) can be found in ConsortiaManager (Edvarda) or by contacting Sikt.
