Here, statistics and growth for Open Access in Norway are shown. The service primarily displays national, sectoral, and disciplinary growth over time, divided by the different types of Open Access available. The same data forms the basis for The Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills Tilstandsrapport for høyere utdanning 2023 (The State of Affairs Report for Higher Education) and The Research Council of Norway's Indikatorrapporten (The Indicator Report), which are published annually. These reports are not translated to English.

The OA barometer is currently static, but will eventually provide a more updated and current picture as well as show other perspectives than what is presented today. This means that the Open Access figures are tied to the reporting time for the Norwegian Science Index (NVI), which is published every year in April.

The OA barometer is divided into four sections. Please note that the entries listed below have no English version yet.

A national overview with figures for all sectors.

A sectoral overview with figures for the university and college sector (UH), health and institute sectors respectively.

A disciplinary overview divided into the four main disciplines.

An institutional overview of Norwegian research institutions (table).
