Agreements that include Open Access publishing


The agreements listed below enable a corresponding author who is affiliated with a participating institution to publish in the publishers' journals without direct cost to the researcher.

All agreements are up for renegotiation with the start of a new agreement period from 2025. This may mean changes in the terms, and information will be provided on the agreement's homepage. You can find it by following the link to each agreement below.

American Chemical Society (ACS)

The agreement with ACS is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. Publishing in all of the publisher's journals, both hybrid and gold, is included in the agreement.

Association of Computing Machinery (ACM)

The agreement with ACM is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. The participants in the agreement can publish openly in most journals and Conference proceedings.

Cambridge University Press (CUP)

The agreement with CUP is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. Publishing in all of the publisher's journals, both hybrid and gold, is included in the agreement.

De Gruyter

The agreement with De Gruyter is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. Open publishing in De Gruyter's hybrid journals is without extra cost. The agreement provides a discount on publication fees in the publisher's gold journals.

Elsevier (SD FC)

The agreement with Elsevier is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. The agreement includes unlimited publishing in hybrid journals and in Cell Press journals. For publishing in gold journals, a discount on the publication fee is provided.

Emerald

The agreement with Emerald is a read agreement with green open access. Authors from participating institutions can, free of charge from the publication date, self-archive the article that is published in an Emerald journal in their institutional archive.

Frontiers

The agreement with Frontiers is a publish agreement. Through the agreement, participants can publish an unlimited number of articles, and a discount is provided on the publishing costs.

Institute of Physics (IoP)

The agreement with IOP is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. Publishing in all of the publisher's journals, both hybrid and gold, is included in the agreement.

Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI)

The agreement with MDPI is a publish agreement. Through the agreement, participants can publish an unlimited number of articles, and a discount is provided on the publishing costs.

Open Library of Humanities (OLH)

The agreement with OLH is a subsidy scheme with diamond open access, which allows everyone to publish and read. The journal's costs are covered by sources other than subscriptions or publishing fees.

Oxford University Press Journals (OUPJ)

The agreement with OUP is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. The agreement provides unlimited open publishing in the publisher's hybrid journals. There is a discount for publishing in the gold journals.

The agreement with Sage is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. The agreement provides unlimited open publishing in the publisher's hybrid journals. There is a discount for publishing in the gold journals.

It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. The Springer agreement also includes a separate agreement for publishing in Springer Nature's gold journals.

Taylor & Francis

The agreement with Taylor & Francis is a publish and read agreement with unlimited publishing in hybrid journals. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. The T&F agreement also includes a separate agreement for publishing in the publisher's gold journals.

The agreement with Wiley is a publish and read agreement with unlimited publishing in Wiley's hybrid journals. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in the Sikts consortium agreement. The Wiley agreement also includes a separate agreement for publishing in the publisher's gold journals.
