The agreements listed below are mainly journal agreements that allow open publishing and reading for participating institutions. Other types of agreements and support schemes for open research are also listed here.

American Chemical Society (ACS)

The agreement with ACS is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. Publishing in all of the publisher's journals, both hybrid and gold, is included in the agreement.

Association of Computing Machinery (ACM)

The agreement with ACM is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. The participants in the agreement can publish openly in most journals and Conference proceedings.

The agreement with CUP is a publish and read agreement. Through the agreement, one can read and publish in Brill's journals from 2024 onwards.

Cambridge University Press (CUP)

The agreement with CUP is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. Publishing in all of the publisher's journals, both hybrid and gold, is included in the agreement.

Canadian Science Publishing

The agreement is new from 2026. CSP is a publish and read agreement that provides full reading access and publishing in the publisher’s hybrid and gold journals.

De Gruyter

The agreement with De Gruyter is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. Open publishing in De Gruyter's hybrid journals is without extra cost. There is unlimited publishing in the publisher's gold journals.

The agreement is a support scheme for infrastructure for the services Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) and The OAPEN Foundation (OAPEN).

Elsevier (SD FC)

The agreement with Elsevier is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. The agreement includes unlimited publishing in hybrid journals and in Cell Press journals. For publishing in gold journals, a discount on the publication fee is provided.

Frontiers

The agreement with Frontiers is a publish agreement. Through the agreement, participants can publish an unlimited number of articles, and a discount is provided on the publishing costs.

Geological Society of London

The agreement is new from 2026. The Geological Society of London is a publish and read agreement that provides reading access and unlimited publishing in the publisher’s hybrid journals and book series.

Institute of Physics (IoP)

The agreement with IOP is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. Publishing in all of the publisher's journals, both hybrid and gold, is included in the agreement.

Journal of Medical Internet Research (JMIR)

The agreement is new from 2026. This is a gold open access agreement in which participating institutions prepay a fixed amount for unlimited publishing.

MJS Publishing

The agreement with MJS Publishing (Medical Journals Sweden AB) is a publish agreement. A corresponding author affiliated with a participating institution receives a discount on publishing costs, and the agreement offers centralized invoicing.

Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI)

The agreement with MDPI is a publish agreement. Through the agreement, participants can publish an unlimited number of articles, and a discount is provided on the publishing costs.

Open Book Collective

The agreement with OBC is a subsidy scheme with diamond open access, which allows everyone to publish and read. The journal’s costs are covered by sources other than subscriptions or publication fees. The agreement runs for one year and is new from 2026.

The agreement is a subsidy scheme for the work of collecting information about publishers’ and journals’ policies on self-archiving.

Oxford University Press Journals (OUPJ)

The agreement with OUP is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. The agreement provides unlimited open publishing in the publisher's hybrid journals. There is a discount for publishing in the gold journals.

The agreement with PLOS ensures unlimited publishing without publication fees for the participating institutions. The agreement runs for two years and is new from 2026.

Public Knowledge Project (PKP)

The agreement with PKP is intended to support the development of the infrastructure behind the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) and Open Journal Systems (OJS). The funding scheme is new as an agreement from 2026.

The agreement with Sage is a publish and read agreement. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. The agreement provides unlimited open publishing in the publisher's hybrid journals. There is a discount for publishing in the gold journals.

The agreement with the Global Sustainability Coalition for Open Science Services (SCOSS) is a subsidy scheme for services that are important for the development of open research. The scheme is new as an agreement from 2026.

The agreement with Springer Nature is a publish and read agreement with unlimited publishing in Springer's hybrid journals. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement. The Springer agreement also includes a separate agreement for publishing in Springer Nature's gold journals.

The agreement with Taylor & Francis is a publish and read agreement with unlimited publishing in hybrid journals. It covers articles with a corresponding author who is affiliated with one of the participating institutions in Sikt's consortium agreement.
